Published Book Illustrations
Way back in February I gave you a sneak peak of some illustrations I was working on for a children's educational text book. The process I used to create these sketches was a straight forward approach. After a few rough sketches, internet research and observational sketches, the initial image is drawn out. I then use a combination of Staedtler fine-tipped pens and Windsor and Newton permanent markers for the cross-hatching, texture and fine detail.

A few close up sections of the images used in the book. I am really happy that most of the illustrations got used in the final book.
