Lego + Mex
After reading Time Out's great review for the Art of the Brick exhibition and then a very favourable write up about DF/Mexico it turns out they are both in the Old Trueman Brewery building at Brick Lane which seemed like it was meant to be. Rachel was my cultural partner in crime and we had a great time oohh-ing and ahhh-ing over the creative fun and sheer volume of Lego bricks used in Nathan Sawaya's sculptures.
It is a really fun exhibition!

I'd heard about the Lego exhibition months ago but then forgot about it, thanks for the reminder! I assume you'd recommend it?
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a bit of fun rather than a serious art show. The sheer inventiveness of the sculptures are quite something! If you have nephews / nieces take them along as they would love it too!

ReplyDeleteYes its up there for a top evening out ; ) Brick Lane is super cool - too cool... in fact I'm not sure we should have been there because we didn't have a long bearded mate who had chunky glasses, baggy jeans, braces, brogues and a 1940's style haircut! We had better watch out for one next time and be-friend one of those hipsters...
